Trailhawk owners got recovery hooks from the factory. Everyone else got aluminum "frame extensions" with nowhere safe to hook a strap. This kit fixes that.
What it does
The steel brackets replace the factory aluminum frame extensions mounted to the frame below the bumper, using the existing bolt points. Two hooks then bolt to the brackets, giving you a proper front recovery point on either side. No drilling or other modifications to the frame are required.
Construction
Brackets are fabricated from 3/8" steel plate and the hooks from hardened hitch steel for maximum strength. Brackets come powder coated in our textured black. Hooks are available in black or red powder coat.

The brackets reuse the factory frame extension mounting bolts.
Fitment
Non-Trailhawk trims of the 2014-2023 Jeep Cherokee KL. Select your model year range above: the 2019+ version is slightly different to suit the changes to the front bumper on those years. Trailhawk models already have factory recovery hooks and do not need this kit.
Installation
Bolt-on at the frame, no drilling. The honeycomb grille needs to be cut for the hooks to pass through. You can contour-cut the grille around each hook for a cleaner look, or remove that whole section of the grille.
